Hi! I'm Marissa Aaron, and I'm a crafter from Asheville, NC. I love knitting and crocheting - the easy rhythm of the yarn flowing through my fingers, the strange zen-like state of finishing stitch after stitch. My house is piled high with yarn, needles, crochet hooks, and more patterns than I could ever complete. I've collected some of my work here to share. I hope you enjoy it! I'll keep adding more pictures all the time. Check back often.
Local Asheville Events
A fabulous fall festival, Asheville's Art in the Park will be the first 3 Saturdays of October - October 1st, 8th, and 15th. I will be at all of them will the excellent book artist, Gretchen Oury of Off Kilter Press. Come by and see us!

If you like my work and want something for your very own, I'll make one just for you! I do special orders and will ship anywhere in the US. You can pick your own colors and style, and I can add any flower to any hat, or modify any item in a number of ways. Just go to the Contact Me page and tell me all about it.
Live in the Asheville Area?
If you live in Asheville or nearby and are interested in knitting or crocheting, I also give lessons. If you've never touched a needle or crochet hook, I can start at the very beginning. If you've started but need some help, I can help you through a pattern or explain a certain kind of stitch. I can even translate the strange language of patterns - I can teach you what "SSK, [K2, P2]" or "sc, hdc, 2dc, hdc, sc into 3 chain sp" means! Drop me a line and the crafting can begin.
